You will get flavonoids only from plant-based foods and they can easily reduce the inflammation in your body and the pain and swelling caused by rheumatoid arthritis. For instance grapes, soy, broccoli, berries, and green tea, etc. are all rich in flavonoids.

Try Mediterranean Or Paleo Diet

Both Mediterranean and Paleo diets are rich in anti-inflammatory foods that could reduce your inflammation. Even the Arthritis Foundation suggests following the Mediterranean diet to reduce the inflammation in your body. This diet includes a lot of whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and olive oil.

The Paleo diet is becoming popular these days because it is very rich in protein and low in carbohydrates. This diet promotes the consumption of certain foods that has anti-inflammatory properties. However, this diet also includes a lot of red meat that may increase inflammation levels.
